staging.inputMap

One control: **Skip**.

What it does

staging.inputMap

One control: Skip.

Staging.component activates this map when a beat takes the camera and deactivates it when the beat gives it back, so the on-screen Skip button appears and leaves with the shot rather than sitting on the HUD all night.

group = "staging", suppresses = { "player", "ui" } — while a beat runs, the night's controls and the card controls are stood down together. The player's whole surface during a staged moment is the one thing they might want, which is to get past it.

FamilyWhat skips
Keyboard & mouseSpace, Escape, Enter, left click
Controllersouth (the lower face button), Start
Touchthe Skip button, large, in the right-lower thumb corner

Verified live at 1080×1440: inputSim reports the control firing on kbm, gamepad and touch, and the playback's clock jumping to the closing fade on each.

# skip Skip the staged beat that is running. Every family reaches it with a control its player already has in hand: the three keys that end a cutscene anywhere plus a click, the lower face button or Start on a pad, and a `large` button in the right-lower thumb corner of a phone. `priority = 5` and `size = "large"` because while a beat runs this is the only control on screen — it should be the one thing a thumb finds without looking. A skip is not an abort: the cutscene runtime fires every cue between the current moment and the closing fade, so what the beat decided still happens. The lines it had not reached yet do not play.
