One straw. Eighteen thousand three hundred and four needles.
THE LAST STRAW is a first-person hidden-object epic set inside the Combing Vault — a black basalt cathedral packed wall to vault with bales of black steel needles. Somewhere in that field is a single straw of hammered gold. There is no scanner. No map. No timer. No fail state.
There is only your hand, and as long as it takes.
How you play
Walk the aisle between the bales. Aim at a needle — the one under your crosshair lifts and glints. Hold the left mouse button to grip it and draw it free; release to let it go. It falls, clatters on the stone, and stays exactly where it landed.
Every needle you pull opens a hole. The needles behind it slide forward into reach. You are not searching a list — you are digging, one needle at a time, through a wall that goes four layers deep.

The vault answers
You will never see the straw from across the room. What you get instead is the room changing around you: the air warms, the dust begins to drift toward you, a low tone rises out of the floor. Comb long enough and the vault starts to speak.
The Codex
Ten fragments of the truth are etched onto rare witness needles, scattered through the field. Pull one and its plate unlocks in the Codex:
- THE VOW — before it was a thing, it was a promise
- THE DROWNING — the god did not die, it was combed
- THE COMBING — a burden is a thing you carry
- THE COUNTER — the tally has overflowed the wall
- THE EYE — every eye was made to be threaded
- THE LIGHT — there is no outside
- THE GAUNTLET — the hand is the office
- THE SORTING — they stopped sorting and started stacking
- THE STRAW — a needle carries, a straw passes through
- THE LAST STRAW — they were very careful, but not careful enough to forget where
Your save is permanent
The world remembers every needle you have ever moved. Close the tab, come back tomorrow, and the hole you were digging is still there, exactly as you left it. Your save is yours alone, and it holds a seed and a list — a few hundred bytes, however long you have been combing.
"A burden is a thing you carry. A straw is a thing you put on top of it."
