You rise as a lone skull in a sunken crypt arena under a stormy, moonlit sky. Ghouls, pumpkin imps and ectoplasm wisps pour through four green-glowing gates. Roll, headbutt and smash them with physics, and collect the bones they drop.

Between waves, the Ossuary lets you bolt those bones onto yourself. Every bone is procedurally rolled and opens new sockets, so no two skeletons grow the same way.

Bones

  • Leg bones: walk upright, run faster and jump higher.
  • Arm bones: clawed swings with longer reach.
  • Tail bones: sweeping lashes.
  • Magic bones: fire green bolts.
  • Extra skulls: bite attacks and more HP.
  • Rib cages: armour, plus new shoulder and hip sockets.

Every bone rolls a length, weight, rarity (Common, Cursed, Haunted, Ancient) and affix (Swift, Long, Glowing, Thick, Hungry, Springy, Vampiric). Rarer bones may mutate: Spiked, Forked, Hollow or Horned. Mutations change the bone's shape as well as its stats. Each bone also gets its own name, like Forked Wyrdbone of the Green Flame.

Forms

Grow enough of one kind of bone and your skeleton awakens a form with its own move:

  • Arachnid (4+ legs): pounce from mid-air.
  • Hydra (3+ skulls): every head bites all around you.
  • Lich (2+ magic bones): bolts split into a fan.
  • Scorpion (a tail and 2+ arms): a forward sting.
  • Juggernaut (2+ rib cages): ground slam on landing.
  • Ossified Horror (12+ bones): knit HP back from kills.

Winning

Survive 10 waves. The last one brings the tombstone Grave-Golem. Lose all your skull HP and you crumble into a pile of bones, then rise again as a lone skull.

Controls

  • Move: WASD, left stick or the touch stick.
  • Look: mouse, right stick or drag.
  • Jump: Space or South.
  • Attack: left click, right trigger or the Attack button.
  • Cast bolt: right click or Cast.
  • Menus: keyboard, gamepad and touch.

Built with the Zero game workflow. Enemies and props are procedural stand-ins while 3D model generation is unavailable.
