README.md
field (nodebox)
The nodes that make fields: a value evaluated at every element of whatever reads it, which fuses into the reader's own dispatch. Reads of the element (position, normal, attribute, index, gather), noise and randomness (noise, simplex, worley, curl, rand, random), forces (attractor, vortex), shaping (constant, map_range, mix, ramp, distance, align), substitute, which reads a chain at another point, call, which applies a function of a prelude shader module, and the leaves of a walk step (walk_state, walk_index).
A field is handed to whatever evaluates one: g.attribute.set({ geometry = points, name = "h", value = g.field.noise({ position = g.field.position() }) }) writes a column by evaluating the field at every point, and a solver, a mask or another field reads one the same way. A graph calls them as g.field.<name>. Every node answers one output, field. Every node's README states its inputs and outputs.
