lighting

The canonical scene-lighting toolbox — ambient light, directional sun, sky, clear color, and point / spot / area lights, each with modify-or-spawn semantics: every call leaves the scene in the requested lighting state, spawning the canonical sun / ambient entities (or switching the renderer-level sky) when the scene has none.

Set the whole environment in one call (sun, ambient, sky, and clear color, all optional), or set each independently: the directional sun, the ambient light, or the sky — swapped from a preset word, a project material matched by name, or a material ref. Add a point light as an entity at a position. Update any point, spot, or area light by name — its color, intensity, reach, shadows, and its shape controls (spot cone, area rect). Read the full lighting state back — every light with its values, clear color, authored sky, live sky config — in the same shape the whole-scene setup accepts.

These are the interactive authoring surface, for setting a scene's lighting from execute(). The behaviour lives in the runtime lighting capability (modules.api.engine.lighting); a component, entrypoint, or the scene saver that adjusts lighting at runtime uses that capability directly, not a tool.
